The Upper Cisokan will be the first PSPP in Indonesia. We are tackling the construction of RCC dams in intensive seismic areas and a large underground powerhouse cavern, and the installation of variable-speed motors/generators. We are also developing a WLDS that utilizes hydraulics-based areal analysis, focusing on water pressure (static/dynamic water pressure in water pipes) to mitigate the impact of water leakage.

In recent years, extreme rainfall that causes mountain disasters has increased in Japan because of  climate change. We present the results about the scientific evaluation of the disaster risk reduction (DRR) functions (suppression or delay of the peak of river flow after rainfall, and suppression of soil runoff) provided by well maintained forests,
using SWAT model in the basin of the Kuma River in Kyushu, Japan.

We will be starting our video submission campaign again in June this year. Please join us for the future of water!
In the exhibition space,we will introduce the support for water in the developing countries,what we call grass-root activities.

In the Asian monsoon climate, we have accumulated experience in overcoming heavy rainfall disasters and enjoying the blessings of water. Our awareness of "connection with the sea" also contributes to sustainable use of natural resources and prevention of pollution. We introduce the continuous development of water youth from the Ongagawa River. We hope for international youth exchange.

In this forum, we would like to introduce our design and construction supervision work in the Upper Cisokan Pumped Storage Power Plant (PSPP) Project and our innovative water leakage detection system (WLDS). The Upper Cisokan will be the first PSPP in Indonesia. We are tackling the construction of RCC dams in intensive seismic areas and a large underground powerhouse cavern, and the installation of variable-speed motors/generators. We are also developing a WLDS that utilizes hydraulics-based areal analysis, focusing on water pressure (static/dynamic water pressure in water pipes) to mitigate the impact of water leakage.

Shiga Prefecture is the local government which has the largest lake in Japan, Lake Biwa.
Lakes and marshes contain approximately 90% of the freshwater resources available to humans, and Lake Biwa supplies drinking and industrial water for 14.5 million people (1/10 of the population of Japanese people).
Shiga Prefecture has formulated the "Mother Lake Goals" as a local SDGs model for promoting environmental conservation of Lake Biwa through the collaboration of the government, researchers, companies, and citizens, and is working to conserve the water quality of Lake Biwa through Japan's top-level sewerage system. We are also developing water environment businesses for companies.
