The Ninth General Assembly of the WWC | Dr. Ishiwatari attends the first BoG meeting |
The World Water Council (WWC) is an international multi-stakeholder platform organization, co-organizer of the World Water Forum, whose mission is to mobilize action on critical water issues at all levels.
The General Assembly of WWC members took place on 10-11 December 2022 in Paris, France, and approved its strategy and work programme for the upcoming three years, 2023-2025. It also held the election of the members of Board of Governors for the new term, and the Japan Water Forum is pleased to announce that Dr. Mikio Ishiwatari as a governor and Ms. Yumiko Asayama as a governor alternate were elected in the category of College No. 4 (civil society oragnisations).
The Japan Water Forum sincerely appreciates the strong support from WWC members voting for them, and renews its commitment to the contribution to a water-secure world through WWC’s activities among others including the 10th World Water Forum that will be held in Bali, Indonesia on 18-24 May 2024. JWF is ready to work with a broad range of stakeholders in the world, and share knowledge and experience from Asia-Pacific region as well as Japan.
