On May 29th, representing the JWF, I delivered a lecture on the current water situation in ASEAN countries at a briefing session on environmental protection hosted by the Japan Auto Parts Industries Association (JAPIA).
After referring to the trend of water circulation policies, SDGs and ESG (environment, society and government) investment, I talked about the current situation in Thailand and Indonesia, including the state of water resources, outlines of government policies and points to remember for foreign companies. I got the impression that the participants were highly interested in the water situation in ASEAN countries, as they asked several questions.
The JWF will take part in activities for collecting and transmitting information about the global water situation, making use of the wide networks it has cultivated over the years. It will work for the solution of water issues at home and abroad by transmitting to the rest of the world its expertise, such as technologies and water management systems.
